Troop Messenger is a workplace chat application. Teams use it for one-to-one and group messages, for audio and video calls, and for sending files inside the conversation. The company offers it as a hosted service or as software a business can run on its own servers.
An admin creates the company workspace and accounts for staff. Guest access, screen sharing, and extra administration such as single sign-on are features of higher plans, as the pricing page lists them. A conversation stays in the workspace rather than in a personal consumer messenger. End-to-end encryption is described on Troop Messenger’s site for chats and calls.
The app is for an organization’s own people. Choosing hosted or on-premise is a deployment choice made before rollout, and it is written on the plan, because the two are not the same install.
