Pond5 is a marketplace for stock media. It licenses video clips, music, sound effects, photos, and other footage from contributing creators. A buyer searches, previews, and licenses a clip for a project, under the license type shown on that clip.
A standard license and an extended license are different rights. Resolution, clip length, and price are per item, so a 4K file and a preview are not the same download. Music and sound effects are separate from footage. The contributor sets the clip and the description, and Pond5 handles the license and the file.
The license text on the clip states where the footage may be used and whether it can be used in a product for resale. A preview watermark is not the licensed file. The download that matches the resolution paid for is what the project can use.
