M&M’s is a chocolate candy from Mars. The pieces are button-shaped chocolates with a colored shell, sold in peanut, plain, and other varieties, in bags, sharing sizes, and tins. The brand’s own site also sells personalized candies, with a short message or a photo printed on the shells.
A standard bag and a personalized order are different products. Personalized candies are made to the text the buyer enters, so they follow that order’s production time rather than shipping like a bag already on a shelf. Flavors and colors that are limited editions are marked as such and are not the same as the core peanut or milk-chocolate bags.
Allergens, especially peanut, are printed on the variety. A shopper chooses the variety and the size, and uses the brand’s personalization page only when the order is meant to be printed.
