Dynadot is a domain registrar. It searches for a name, registers it across a large set of extensions, and then hosts the DNS records that point the name at a website or an email service. Transfers in from another registrar, and domain privacy, are part of the same account.
The annual price depends on the extension. A .com and a newer or country extension are different products with different renewal prices, and the first year can differ from the renewal. Privacy, if it is offered for that extension, hides personal contact details from the public registration record where the registry allows it.
After registration, the name does nothing until DNS is set: either Dynadot’s nameservers or nameservers the customer already uses. The account page is where that choice, the expiry date, and the renewal price are shown.
